Times are calculated with the adhan library using the calculation method selected above. Confirm with your local mosque, as authorities may round or adjust a minute or two.

About these prayer times

  • The five daily prayers (Salah) are timed by the position of the sun: Fajr at dawn, Dhuhr after midday, Asr in the afternoon, Maghrib at sunset and Isha at nightfall. Sunrise (Shuruq) marks the end of the Fajr window.
  • Different authorities use slightly different twilight angles for Fajr and Isha, so we let you pick the calculation method that matches your country. The Asr time also depends on your madhab, the Hanafi school uses a later Asr than the standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) calculation.
  • Times are computed on your device from the city's coordinates, so the page works fully offline once loaded. For prayer times, adhan notifications and the qibla in your pocket, install the free Qurani app.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate are these prayer times?
They are computed with the well-established adhan calculation library from each city's exact coordinates and the calculation method you select. They match the major prayer-time authorities closely; small one-minute differences can occur because some authorities round times.
Why do prayer times differ between websites?
The main reason is the calculation method, authorities use different sun-angle conventions for Fajr and Isha, and the madhab used for Asr. Choose the method your local mosque follows for the closest match.
Can I get prayer times for my exact location?
Yes. Use the 'Use my precise location' button to compute times from your GPS position, or let the page detect your approximate location automatically. Nothing is stored, the calculation happens on your device.
What is the difference between standard and Hanafi Asr?
Asr begins when an object's shadow reaches a certain length. The standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) opinion uses one shadow length; the Hanafi opinion uses two, giving a later Asr time. Pick the one your madhab follows.
