1 أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.

2 لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ There is no god but Allah. (Sit down if standing; lie down if sitting)

3 لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ There is no god but Allah. (Seek refuge, and if standing sit down; if sitting, lie down) ×3

4 اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan. (And perform wudu to cool anger)

5 أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan. (Sit down if standing; perform wudu) ×3

6 اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ… O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, and I seek refuge in You, my Lord, from their presence.

7 سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ Glory be to Allah. (Say when you feel anger rising — it helps calm the soul) ×3

8 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْهِلُ وَلَا يُهْمِلُ Indeed, Allah gives respite but does not neglect. (Reminder to restrain anger)

9 اللَّهُمَّ أَزِلْ غَيْظَ قَلْبِي وَأَعِذْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ O Allah, remove the rage from my heart and protect me from Satan.
