It was narrated that Zirr said:"We said to Hudhaifah: 'At what time did you take Sahur with the Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'It was daytime, but before the sun had risen." (Daif)

When we came to the Masjid we prayed two Rakahs, then the Iqamah for prayer was said, and there was only a short time between them." أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الأَشْعَثِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ تَسَحَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ثُمَّ قَامَا فَدَخَلاَ فِي صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ . فَقُلْنَا لأَنَسٍ كَمْ كَانَ بَيْنَ فَرَاغِهِمَا وَدُخُولِهِمَا فِي الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ قَدْرَ مَا يَقْرَأُ الإِنْسَانُ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً .
